Premises Liability
Premise liability places responsibility on a property owner for injuries sustained by persons on that owner's property. An example of a premise liability injury is a slip and fall injury, but there are others where the property owner had not exercised responsibility for safety. One of the first steps in a premise liability case is it must be proven that the property owner knew of the dangerous condition in the first place, and failed or neglected to repair it.
